Spotlight on: Bear and Twine

Hello, hello! My name is Marlen and I'm the mastermind behind the sweet, little vintage shop that is Bear and Twine. A lot of people see the clothes hanging in their closet as just that: a hodgepodge of sweaters and patterns and cotton, ready to be grabbed and shimmied into in the morning. But for me, they're more special than that. An article of clothing is a feeling, a specific mood. It's a story waiting to be played out, and a soundtrack that'll help set the tone for your day. And that is exactly why I opened up my shop. With Bear and Twine, I'm not just selling clothes. I'm giving you carefully orchestrated moments: Nights that are alive with hopeful first dates, Wednesday mornings spent dog-earring your favorite novel, afternoons spent at Farmer Markets, and evenings lying on the grass, listening to a band play and watching the stars wink back down on you. There's a mood, an aura to each piece. And that's why each playful romper and quirky dress is special. That and the fact that they're pretty darn cute on top of that ;) I hope you pop on over to my store and check it out! And don't forget to follow along on Bear and Twine's Facebook and Twitter for fun style content and special coupon codes ;)

Make sure to head over to Bear and Twine and give it some love! And while your at it, visit Marlen's blog, Messages on a Napkin, to see an interview she did with me for her "Blogging Babes" series! —Elana
