Dead Week

If I were to give this week a theme, it would be "late." Because Thanksgiving was so late this year, there's only two weeks between Thanksgiving break and winter break, as opposed to the usual three. Because of this, everything feels rushed. All of a sudden, it's dead week, everything is due, and finals are next week. Of course, every college student I know (especially those of us with acute senioritis) has put off all projects and papers until after break, which means there's less than a week to do everything. Needless to say, I'm stressed. I'm well aware that this could have been avoided had I actually worked on assignments during my week off, but then what kind of break would that be? (Side note: I don't know why I think this blog could help me get a job in the fashion industry when I constantly insist on writing things about my laziness. I really am a hard worker, I swear. You have to believe me.)

Because of my mountain of homework, I've been slacking on commenting on blogs again. Rest assured, I am still reading. Thank goodness for smartphones and breaks between classes. I do have to admit that a few of my assignments are actually pretty interesting. A presentation entirely on e-commerce and a paper on "District 9?" Not too shabby for homework.

After a couple of months of outfit inspiration, I'm starting to get lazy again. I wasn't thrilled about this one at first, but I actually really like it now as I look at the photos. Speaking of which, this is one of my new favorite sets of photos. Mary and I ended up in this secluded spot when a nearby area we tried shooting in didn't end up working very well. Thank goodness this was right next to us because it ended up being way cooler. You're at it again, WIU.

  6. A paper on "Distric 9"? I don't want to hear you complain the, what kind of a cool school is that!? :D
Don't worry about commenting, it's understandable, the end of the year is always so hasty and weird.

  7. Oh man I know. I feel your pain. I had an epic research paper due before the break, then one the Monday after break (so I was working on it over Thanksgiving which is poop), and now I have two exams to do. Whyyyyy grad school why? But I digress. You can do it! It'll be done some day. That's what I always have to remind myself.

As for this outfit, I think it's super cute! You look really comfortable too. I just really love your yellow cardigan with the striped dress. A perfect combination.

  8. Love the pop of yellow with your sweater. As much as I miss school sometimes (crazy, I know!) hearing people talk about finals now makes me not miss it as much… ;) Good luck with everything- you will kick ass!
