As promised, here's a little behind the scenes look at my trip to Chicago last week for a journalism conference. My friend Mary, who is our assistant photo editor at the paper, was kind enough to let me use her photos, which is fortunate because she is way more talented than I am. Most of these are of the fascinating buildings and the coffee shop we went to in Lincoln Park, which is probably my favorite part of Chicago. There are also some of Mity Nice, the restaurant a few of us ate at for dinner one night, and Mary also caught Jenn and I in action taking outfit shots. I decided to not use any that have other friends and coworkers in them in an effort to be considerate, although I know realize that I can easily use this blog for blackmail in the future. Consider everyone warned. Enjoy!

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time in Chicago! I LOVE that city. So much. And the Bourgeois Pig was where I first met Alaina (my editor at The Everygirl) so I especially love that place. :) Isn't is just adorable inside? Perhaps one day we'll be in Chicago at the same time and then we can meet! That would be just lovely.
ReplyDeleteHah, I love that first picture. :)
ReplyDeleteChicago looks so beautiful through your eyes, the buildings are so stunning and full of character and history. I'm drooling a little over those gorgeous mirrors in the restaurant, I've been on the lookout for a mirror with a pretty, vintage frame for a while now. It does sound like you had so much fun, it's really awesome that you get along so well with your coworkers that it ends up being a fun trip. (I think it's really considerate of you not to post photos of your coworkers, not every likes having pictures of them on the net and I think that's very sensitive of you to think of them.)
