All American

I really didn't mean to dress patriotically here, but who am I to complain? This red cardigan looks great with anything, which is why it came home with me this summer despite the heat. Rain or shine, nothing beats a good cardigan.

It's been a busy week as I've been trying to fit in seeing everyone one last time. I'm not really sure how it's already Thursday and I'm on my last two days of home. I wore this dress to lunch yesterday with some old friends who hadn't seen in a long time and dinner with a friend I see often. Did I say I was fitting in everyone one last time? I'm really just fitting in all of the food places here one last time. A girl's got to have her priorities straight.

Speaking of priorities, can you tell that my sister-in-law took these pictures again? She spent most of Tuesday afternoon helping me take a bunch of pictures of what I've been wearing lately so I could stock up. I'm not sure when I'll have time to start pictures again when I'm back in Illinois, so it's nice to have some posts lined up. Mostly though, I just like that her photos look a million times better than mine do and that was reason enough for me. Don't get to used this; I'll be back with my own pictures in a week.

Update: Today (and early tomorrow) is the last chance to snag anything from my store for a while! I dropped prices on a ton of stuff and added a couple things! Help me get it all out of my room so I can make my parents happy.

  2. Super smart of you to stock up on photoshoots that way!

This is very All American but not in a 4th kind of a way... more like in American Girls (All Grown Up). Which makes me smile so much. I loved those books (aaaand looking at their very expensive catalog for the dolls!) growing up. You seem so grown up and classic in this. Safe trip back!

Also, props to you for usually taking your own photos. I always have to harass my roommates into helping me... Haha.

  13. Thanks for your sweet comments, Elana!

Don't you love it when you get dressed and then realize, oh man, I'm wearing red white and blue?! Ha. It's really a no-fail combo though, and these pictures are BEA-utiful! You must be back in Illinois by now- can't wait to follow along on your adventures this semester. The end of summer always came wayyy too soon, back when I was in college (I love saying that like a snob!). Hope you're getting settled in just fine!
