If this is starting to sound like I'm a secret spokesperson for Modcloth (I wish), I'm not. I just have an unhealthy obsession with the store. That and my order came in last week so I wanted to wear everything I got as soon as possible. Which brings me to this dress. This was another one I almost didn't get, but my boyfriend (who, poor guy, had to look at dozens of items while I asked for his opinion) convinced me to get it. He couldn't get over the fact that there were buildings on this dress and, well, neither could I. Talk about an interesting print.

As I started typing out the items in this outfit, I realized that is probably the least amount I've worn in one outfit in this blog. I usually wear a lot of simple things so I accessorize like crazy to keep it unique, but I think this dress speaks for itself. I was starting to worry that my readers might be a little tired of seeing these sandals, but then thought, that's crazy. No one could get tired of these sandals. So, here they are again. They'll probably be here in a couple of days, too.

I wore this to the Orange County fair last week (because of course I would wear a peter pan collared dress to the fair) and had a great time. I've never been one for big crowds or sweltering hot days, but there's something so enjoyable about going to the fair. Plus, I got mint chip Dippin' Dots, which is really the only reason I went.

On an unrelated note, I think I have an addiction to peter pan collars. Or maybe just interesting collars in general. I may need to seek help.

  2. This is such a perfect dress! That pattern is just amazing. I know how some people say that combining black and brown is kind of the 'worse' mistake that you can do. This dress is a good example how beautiful those colours look together and I really love it!

  6. LOVE it. Great choice! Ha I always make Hunter help me pick out my outfits for work. He's like, just wear this (plain colored shirt) with this (khaki skirt). Classic! And boring. He always thinks what I wear is a little too crazy. But picking out clothes is totally a bonding experience because then you feel good and know he likes what you're wearing! Anyway Elana, the bloggers have spoken: great dress.

  10. OMG. Cutest dress! Haha, that is so funny you make your boyfriend look at all the dresses you want! I have to do the same, and he basically has given up and can't keep track of all the things I buy anymore. Oh well :)

  12. That dress is seriously adorable. I love that print so much, it reminds me of "500 Days of Summer" for some random reason.
