Same Old Thing

I wear some variation of this outfit a lot. So much so that I took these pictures more than a week ago, and I'm wearing almost the exact same thing today, but with a different skirt and sans tights. What can I say? This striped top with a printed skirt and these shoes is a no-fail combination for me. Plus, anytime I can get away with both stripes and polka dots in the same outfit is a good day to me.

It's a little strange that I've somehow forgotten to mention how happy I am that it finally feels like spring. I think the day I wore this outfit was actually the last time I wore tights. It's been all bare legs and pale skin since then.

Even with the California-like weather, I still can't help but feel a little homesick lately. Since I stayed in Illinois for spring break, this marks the longest stretch I've ever gone without going home. I'm starting to really miss my family and friends. And the food. I really, really miss the food. I could go for an In N' Out burger right about now.

This warmer weather has had me itching to get rid of clothes and replace them with new ones. I've been having good luck selling things on ebay, but if I decided to start up my Storeenvy store again, would anyone be interested in buying my stuff?

  2. I love the print mixing going on here, stripes and polka dots always look so wonderful together. I am sooo jealous you're able to go without tights, I can't wait to show off my pastiness!

  4. Hey, nothing wrong with having a go-to outfit! (The pattern mixing on this is really fabulous, the blue/white stripes look so cohesive with the navy polka dot skirt but I think its the brown shoes that really pull the whole look together.) I am pretty jealous that it's warmed up to bare legs weather down there, our three day snow storm finally ran out of steam this morning. (Hah, so maybe it is bare legs weather now!)
That's really hard being away from your family for a long time. I'm pretty tight with mine and it was rough being 400 miles away at school and only getting to see them during the summer and at Christmas so I really feel for you. At least summer is almost here.

I am usually not a huge fan of pattern mixing, but I LOVE stripes and polka dots together. Something so sweet about them. Great look hun! xo

  9. I hear you girl - I stayed in Boston for our spring break and in all honesty I regret it. I wish I would've gone home and slept and slept for a while! It really sucks going to school so far away :// Hope you get a chance to do a visit home!

  10. I end up wearing the same outfits again and again as well. If it's not broke, don't fix it, right? This really is a perfect combination for you though-that polka dot skirt is so fun and I love how it blows a bit in the breeze. The necklace is great too-perfect for when you're homesick I'm sure!

  12. An adorable California necklace! Good for when you are homesick. What will you be doing over Spring Break?

As to wearing this combo over and over- why break up the Dream Team of stripes and polka dots?

  13. I totally totally wear the same thing all the time, sometimes the same as in the same article of clothing. As they say, if it's not broken...the stripes and polka dots is totally cute! So I love all the new little touches you've added to your blog! Very nice!

Also, dying for one of those CA necklaces! I completely know how you feel about that CA void, but home (and In N Out, priorities) will be sooner than you realize! And three CHEERS for Spring weather! It's like having a whole new wardrobe!

  19. I think this is a great go-to outfit! The stripes and dots look wonderful together. I always miss my tights when I have to put them away for the summer though. The heat lasts too long here so I always think about how long it'll be until I can wear them again!
