Transitioning

I really don't have too much to say about this outfit seeing as I kind of threw it together at the last minute before class, but it was a good transitional outfit. It's getting to that time of year again where I'm stuck in between summer and fall clothes, and my lack of inspiration lately is making it difficult to get dressed. Luckily, lace, crochet and cardigans always seem to do the trick.

I feel bad that my writing has been so uneventful lately, but I really just have nothing to say. I've been busy, yet nothing seems interesting enough to write about. I'm just waiting for something exciting to happen on campus so we have something to write about at the paper. It's a little sick, but there's nothing my staff wants more than for something awful to happen. All I want is one murder, or maybe a natural disaster. Is that too much to ask for? Reading about event previews is getting a little old. Last semester, we had election controversies and a fake hostage situation. This semester, things have just been slow. If anyone wants to come to my campus and do something crazy, I would be forever in your debt.

Also, two posts in one day because I'm bored. Mostly because I'm embarrassed at my photoshop skills in the post below and I don't want it to be the first thing people see on my blog. I didn't have share that, but I figured I'd just put all my cards on the table.

Dress (worn as skirt): Target, swapped
Top: Threadsence
Cardigan: Target, bought from Katherine
Ring, necklace: c/o eFoxcity
Shoes: Need Supply Co.

  6. Just see if you can get the SWAT team to have another five-hour standoff with an empty house. Front page. Or more stories about weather. Or just post pictures of Mary making adorable faces. Roll tide. You look cute, by the way.

And I'll just leave this right here. It's not lookin' good quite yet, but it's a start.

  8. Haha, oh wow, desperate for some crazy, huh? I could send a few people your way...but you didn't hear that from me :P
I'm sure something will come up soon that'll shake things up!
Anyway, great way to start transitioning - throw a knit cardigan on top of things. I love it! So cozy and cute :)

  9. uhm this outfit is PERFECT. I can't even handle it.

Haha and I feel you about the newspaper thing. We had to find every little thing that resembled a good story because nothing ever happened that was ridiculous. Also, brb I'm driving to your college to go streaking or something. Then you'll have some good stuff to write about. ;D

  14. I am so feeling that lack of motivation transitioning! I love Fall clothing but I am totally still stuck in my summer wears, it has been hard switching over! Remember that when a lack of inspiration ensues, a big burst of one is just around the corner! Have a lovely day Elana, you look adorable!!

  15. I totally understand your lack of motivation, but you should make your own adventures instead of waiting for one to happen! Take on a new hobby, learn a new language! Life is short and you should live it up!

  16. I know exactly how you feel! I've been lacking so much inspiration AND motivation lately, I feel like my life is taking over my personal style and that's not good! I hope something eventful does occur for you, but maybe not like a hostage situation or anything haha.
