Winter Yellows

I'm still feeling the winter blues, so I decided I need this yellow dress and white sweater to brighten things up for me yesterday. With only a little more than a week left until spring break, though, I can't say that I needed it much. Knowing that home is so close is enough to get me through the day. I can almost taste the In N' Out burgers.

Honestly though, things have been pretty stressful lately, but what else is new? I've been applying for jobs and internships like crazy, but I've yet to hear back from anyone. I know it's still pretty early, but I probably won't stop freaking out about it until I find something. The good news is (and you've seen these if you follow me on Instagram), I finally got around to putting some effort into making creative resumes and I now have three pretty ones that hopefully will catch employers' attentions. I'm way too excited about designing resumes. You guys have no idea.

Back to the outfit, though, I really do love it. This dress just always makes me happy, and it's been nice that there hasn't been much snow on the ground (for the time being) to be able to wear these boots again. Of course, that will change by the end of this weekend, but oh well. I'm ready for spring, but seeing as this is my last winter here, I suppose I should just try to appreciate, right?

...not right.

Winter needs to end. Right now.

Dress: Modcloth

  10. I'm sorry to hear that you've been stressed out! Job hunting is rough. As is resume writing. Oof. I hope you start to hear back from folks soon. Don't be discouraged if you don't hear back for a while, though. When I was applying for the job I just took, it took a solid two weeks for me to hear anything after applying, and then after a couple of rounds of interviews, it took another two weeks before I heard anything! Good luck!

  11. What a cute print! I love when typically summer dresses are layered up for winter- who says bright colors are just for sunny days?? How great that you get to go home on all of your breaks, that must be nice to just have few month spells of bone chilling weather! The perfect job will come knocking soon- I just know it! That's what I keep telling myself too... :)
