The ratio of the amount of times I've worn this dress to the amount of times I've posted pictures of it on the blog is a little ridiculous. I think I've only posted it once, yet it gets worn almost weekly. I'd wear it every day if that were socially acceptable. Actually, maybe I should just do that...

I'll be daydreaming about wearing this dress around a park and just a great weekend in general while I'm back at work today. I had a ton of fun getting ice cream and antiquing with my best friend and then bonding with my co-workers at Oktoberfest and brunch. Let's just say the mimosas were truly bottomless this weekend. Jon and I also watched Beasts of No Nation on Netflix, which I...did not enjoy. I was so focused on watching a Netflix originally movie that will most likely be nominated for Oscars, that I didn't really think about the fact that it was going to be about children brutally murdering people. Not really my thing.

I found these oxfords for $6 in Old Navy the other week, and they've barely left my feet. I went in for the first time in a couple of years, and I could not believe how cheap these were.

Dress: Ruche
Cardigan: Thrifted
Oxfords: Old Navy

  1. Another blogger I follow did an experiment to see if she could remix one of her favorite dresses for seven days in a row and see if anyone noticed. They didn't.

I love this one. I think the other time you posted it you had just purchased it. It's so cute and has just the right amount of details to not overwhelm it.

  2. Oh what a cute dress! I totally understand why it would get so many wears! The stripes are so perfect!
I heard a lot of different opinions on Beast of No Nation - it doesn't really sound like my kind of movie and with your opinion I may just skip that one. :/

  3. What an awesome deal on those shoes! And I definitely see why this dress gets worn so often. It's so cute and versatile. I like the detailing on your cardigan here too!

  5. This is a darling dress and I like the pairing of the cardigan with it. The florals on the cardigan somehow compliment without overwhelming the look with too much sweetness.

I haven't watched Beast of No Nation yet, but need to. As you kind of allude to, it sounds very hard to watch, but the reality is that there are an estimated 300,000 child soldiers globally at any given time, so I can see why they felt it was an important topic to make a film on. Seems hard to watch though....
