Yellow Cardigan + Teal Skirt

With regards to this outfit, it's pretty typical every day look to throw on for me. Any day that I'm too lazy to think of a creative outfit, I throw on this striped dress as a top under a skirt and grab a cardigan. I've also been living in this Rocksbox necklace. I swear I went into Rocksbox assuming that I'd try it out for a few months and send back everything, but I think I might have to buy this one. It's everything I've been looking for. Black Collared Top + Thrifted Skirt

I am so excited to not only be writing this from my new apartment, but to be sharing photos taken down the street. The past few days have been crazy to say the least, but in the best possible way. I officially moved in Thursday, while Jon brought over his necessities and then officially moved the rest of things on Saturday. I've already had one last minute IKEA trip and have been to Target no less than three times in the past three days. It's been busy and stressful, but I could not be happier. It's such a relief to get out of the room I was renting and into a place that I feel completely comfortable in and can call my own. More than anything though, it's been an absolute dream getting to live with Jon so far. I know, I know. It's not going to be easy forever. For now, though, it's been amazing to get to be together every day and make our home together. It's so cheesy, but I honestly don't care. Things are pretty great right now and no one can stop my sappiness. 

This outfit is so typical of me that I almost didn't post it, but oh well. This shirt and skirt both get a lot of wear, but it's a great outfit to throw on when I'm at a loss staring at my closet. I'm definitely getting bored with my wardrobe again, but what else is new?

Mondays

It's kind of strange that, at this short moment of time in my life, I almost look forward to Mondays more than the weekends. Don't get me wrong; I love the weekends, especially since my friends have more free time and more plans are made. Unfortunately, though, I work super early shifts (we're talking 7 a.m.) at my restaurant job on Saturday and Sundays. I get off really early, around noon, so it's not like I don't have free time, but it's still a little exhausting. Well, it's mostly exhausting because Friday and Saturday nights are when people like to stay out later, and I never get enough sleep. Mondays and Tuesdays, though, are for sleeping in for me for the time being. Sure, I'll be up by 7:30-8ish, but the fact that I don't have to wake up that time is something to celebrate. 

Exhaustion aside, I did have a good weekend. I spent some time at my brother and sister-in-law's house on Friday, where I got to play with Legos with my nephew and take outfit pictures with Elyse. On Saturday night, I went to my friend Jeremy's Halloween party, which I had been looking forward to all week. I've never gotten too into Halloween or dressing up, but when I got the idea to dress up like Marty McFly, I knew I could make this one a good one. Luckily, I can always count on my best friend Whitney to dress up like a dude from an '80s movie with me rather than finding something risque, so she went as the Doc Brown to my Marty.
