New Specs

Did I really let it go almost another month without an outfit post? Oops. Things have been pretty busy around these parts lately. When you work a customer service job during the holidays, though, I guess that's to be expected. I really love all of the new responsibilities I've taken on at work, but man, am I wiped. These new hours are killing me, and there's hardly a night that goes by where I don't fall asleep while hanging out with Jon. Poor guy. I'm hanging in there though, and I've just accepted that I can't stay out until midnight anymore. This job is turning me into more of an old lady than I already was.

Everything else is great though. I've been spending a lot of time with family lately what with Thanksgiving recently and Christmas right around the corner. I'm just about done with my Christmas shopping, which is a relief. That's assuming I don't find a million things that I think my loved ones absolutely need. We'll see.

I got this dress not too long ago with the Modcloth gift card that I won from Sammi's giveaway, and it's the best. The funny thing is, it's actually been fairly cold lately, but I happened to take these photos on the one afternoon in the past few weeks that was warm enough for bare legs. It even started raining again yesterday. You have to believe me. It gets cold in Orange County sometimes.

Also making their debut in these photos are my brand new glasses. I haven't gotten new glasses in about two or three years, and I finally settled on this pair with a slightly cat eye frame. Now that I've been working such early hours, I've been wearing glasses more and more rather than poking my eyes with contacts while half asleep. Now I can finally feel stylish while doing so.

In serious news, I've been considering quitting blogging again, but I still can't decide. I barely have any time to keep it up (as I'm sure you've noticed), and when I do, I'm too exhausted to write anything clever. I can't seem to fully take myself away from the creative outlet, though. One of these days I'll make a decision.

Dress: Modcloth
Shoes: Thrifted

  1. I battle all the time with quitting blogging and it's not because I don't have a passion for it but it's because I don't have the time to make it what I want it to be. Then I remind myself not to put so much pressure on myself and just take what I can get. That space is mine and I don't want to give it up. I say blog when you can. I'll read it when I can. Also-- those glasses are awesome! Great pick!

  2. I've been feeling the same way about blogging too. It isn't that I don't love it, but time/energy is such an issue. I would miss what you bring to the blogosphere if you left though....

    Also- CUTE glasses ;)

  3. I have to agree with what Meghan said- take the pressure off yourself and just post when and what you want! I don't think you'll regret keeping up with this space, however you can. And we would SURE miss seeing you around! Those hours you're working sound intense- hang in there. I hope they switch around to something a little more regular soon. Love the new glasses <3

  4. Hey, it's your blog; you don't HAVE to post all the time if you don't want to! I would miss you if you stopped, but really I think you should do what feels best for you. I totally have those days (or weeks) where I just don't feel like blogging, but ultimately I really love it, and I have put less pressure to write clever things. I just share what's on my mind.
I hope you continue, though, even if it's sporadically!
    Your dress is so pretty!

  5. I totally understand what you mean. I stopped blogging for a while because things got in the way or I couldn't find motivation to keep going. It can be easier to just blog when you want to blog until you get back into the groove :) I hope you have a happy holiday!
