Bloggers and Sweaters

I don't think I can write enough about much I love the bloggers I've met in the short amount of time I've been doing this. Not only do the sweet comments I'm fortunate enough to receive make me happy, but I genuinely love the blogs of most of the women I've come in contact with. It will never cease to amaze me when a blogger I admire takes the time to read and comment on my blog. Katherine of Of Corgis & Cocktails is one of those bloggers, so when she recently decided to purge her closet and offer readers first dibs for basically free, I jumped at the chance to own this sweater. Of course, when I say "jumped at," I mean I was too incompetent to figure out how to enter the promo code in her shop and was convinced I wouldn't be able to get it, but a helpful email from Katherine solved my problem almost immediately. When the sweater came in last week, it was love at first sight. Not only did it fit perfectly, but I've been searching for more items with elbow pads for quite some time now. Everyone should get used to seeing this sweater now since I'm positive I'll be wearing it all the time once the weather allows it.

Ignoring the quality of my camera and the fact that I desperately need a haircut, aren't the locations of these photos great? I've been wanting to take pictures around this building for awhile, but I failed on Friday when it started pouring. Luckily, T.J. and I went back on Saturday before the hot air balloon rally, and it worked out even better since no one was around. We originally were just going to take pictures in front of that unique door, but the steps made it hard to get a good angle. T.J. did climb into a nearby tree at one point (his idea), but it didn't end up helping. I convinced him to let me take pictures of him in the tree, but he won't let me post them anywhere. Lame.

In other news, the weather has been wonderful lately. It's still pretty warm, but it's been cool enough to get away with sweaters and light jackets. Naturally, I'll be wearing one or other every day this week. Hope everyone is having a good (or bearable at least) Monday!

  8. Oooh love that buffalo exchange dress! And the newly acquired cardigan is AMAZING!!! I have been collecting fabric scraps with the plan of sewing patches on to sweaters this winter, but we will see if that actually happens! The location is the best too, pretty buildings, wahoo! So funny that TJ was up in a tree trying to get a good shot, now THATS dedication!
Thanks for you sweet (as usual) comments on my new blog post too! I read your previous post about meeting super kind blogger friends recently and I 100% agree!

  9. No, you're the best. I'm having a great time creeping on your blogging friends too because they are all really nice! The cardigan is lovely, even better now that it is cardigan weather! I'm totally with you on just barely getting away with wearing them, but doing it despite the weather anyway! I love those elbow patches! Also love that TJ got in a tree! He's really taking the blog-photographer thing seriously! Cute cute look. I need to get a statement necklace. Happy happy Monday to you Elana!
