Short Stuff

Despite being incredibly short at 5'2", somethings still manage to be short on me. I blame it on my chest and hips, which hog up all the material. That being said, I'm still absolutely in love with this dress I borrowed from Jessi. I doubt many of you are unfamiliar with Jessi's blog, Haircut & General Attitude, but if I'm wrong about anyone, change that immediately. I've always wanted to steal her entire closet so I was, of course, beyond happy when she joined Flock Together and actually granted me access to her clothes. Not only is the color of this dress spectacular, but it's crazy soft as well. Katie of Butterfly Loves Snapdragons just wore this on her blog too and, of course, looks amazing in it. I love getting the opportunity to see how girls around the country style the same items.

My styling of this may be a little lazy (cardigan and boots are my default mode), but I'm a bit limited on options right now. I'm finally home, meaning I'm living out of a suitcase with three pairs of shoes and only a few sweaters/jackets to choose from. In all honesty, it's nice to have a little less to decide between this week. I spend way too much time in front of my closet in the mornings.

So far, it's really nice being home. I'm happy to see my family and catch up with friends, but mostly it's nice to not have anything to worry about for a week. It's a much needed break. Hopefully everyone else is having a great Thanksgiving week!

  2. Aw, so cute! I found the dress to be quite short on me as well...and yes I blamed it on my curves too, haha. But it really does make a difference! I really wanted to steal this dress, it is probably the softest ever. Glad you're getting a bit of a break! I hope you have a great week :) You look beautiful as always!

  6. This dress is so ridiculously adorable. And I happen to love your cardigan/dress/tights/boots combinations, even if it's your go-to. I hope you continue to have a relaxing week at home!

  7. I love this on you! I think it fits so well. It was a bit long on me, but I'm under five feet, so yeah. haha I'm in love with the way we've all styled this dress. It was one of the pieces that I wish I could've kept. Also your boots are bangin'.

  9. It isn't "lazy." It is minimalist and taking advantage of a very lovely color combo.

  10. I love the way the both of you styled it! But man oh man that's gonna be a crop top on me if I try it haha. And there isn't anything wrong with a default of cardis and boots- if that's lazy for you then clearly you're quite the stylist ;)

    Have fun being stress-free!!

  12. That definitely looks like a California background! I love that dress on you! Oh and you should consider your chest a blessing :). Things are short on me as well but it's probably because I have long legs. I've heard that was a blessing too but I have yet to believe it lol!

  14. I have that problem too w/ my hips & top too, things I'd borrow from friends aroudn the same height would be way short but either way, you wouldnt notice it here because of the tights! Love your cute little fall look!
