Thrift Shop Hero

Dear skirt,

I'm still in shock at how lucky I am to own to you. When my friend Nataly picked you up at the thrift store recently, I never dreamed that you would be mine or that you would be so perfect. I'm grateful that she handed you over to me because, from the moment I saw those white pleats and gorgeous floral print, it was love at first sight. Of course, it didn't hurt that you were made by BB Dakota, one of my favorite brands. And as I took a closer look at you, it felt like kismet. Not only did you just happen to be in my size, but you also were brand new with the tags on. However, nothing compares to the fact that you were $4. I can't say that I'm one to believe in fate or destiny, but I can't deny that this was meant to be. I hope you understand if I just never take you off.

The past couple of days turned out to be a little busier/crazier than expected, so I'm a little exhausted. I did spend Saturday afternoon at the dog beach for the end of Corgi Beach Day, and it was just as adorable as you might have guessed. I should clarify that I don't actually own a corgi, I just really wanted to witness a bunch of corgis playing together at the beach. It was so worth it.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!
