Another cream dress

My camera kept asking, "did someone blink?" so naturally I decided to blink on purpose.

After a 6:45am flight, a night's stay in St. Louis with family, a three hour drive to school, packing everything I own into my boyfriend's dad's truck and moving it into my dorm, a newspaper meeting, and unpacking more clothes than any sane person should own, I finally have time to post. I've been so happy to be on campus and get back in the swing of things, but I can already tell I'm going to miss my mornings of waking up at my leisure, making coffee, turning on the Daily Show, and writing a blog post. Classes don't start for me until Monday so I should have some spare time this week for the blog, but I also have to put out an issue of the newspaper already (meaning writing a couple articles and hunting down writers to send me stories), another job, and am starting to work on things for the club that I'm president of. If anyone was tired of me rambling about being bored and not having much to do, well, that time is officially over.

I'm still not really sure how this blog is going to work now that I'm at school, but I'm hoping it won't change too much. Be prepared for less frequent outfit posts (at least for this week) as I'm still trying to figure out when and how to take pictures every day. There also is going to be a time fairly soon when I'll start wearing jeans a lot. I know, it's crazy.

My friend Whitney helped take these photos my last day in California and they're reminding me that I have too many cream and white dresses for no reason. I wish I would have recorded me unpacking my clothes. Not only did I have two suitcases packed to the brim, but it seemed that every box I opened for the first time since May was stuffed with more clothes I had forgotten I owned or wondered why I still had. It was a lot of me opening boxes and crying, "It never ends!" Then I kept reminding myself that there's no such thing as too many clothes and I felt much better.

I'm hoping I have time to read everyone's blog posts that I missed in the past few days and I can't wait to catch up. If I end up not getting a chance to get to every blog I'd like, just know my comments are coming...eventually.

  3. Your dress is so cute and I love the pops of teal in the shoes! It does sound like you're going to be busy. Isn't it crazy how you go from having nothing on your plate, to your plate being incredibly full? LOL. It sounds like it will be fun though. :) Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my blog! <3

I know the feeling...I don't move in until the 23 but I am already starting to stress about my closet moving with me...the struggles of having great clothes;)
    Much love,

  5. I understand that feeling all too well! I move in near the beginning of September and am already dreading packing ... but to be honest, after my first two years, I've learned that half the stuff I bring ends up rotting in my closet and collecting dust! This year, definitely going to pack light.

Have fun back in school! :)

  7. This dress is so pretty and I love the pop of color with your shoes. My blog always slows down when school starts. It's totally unfortunate but worth it.

  10. Good luck adjusting to the dorm life. I'm sure new adventures await you with this move! :) Your white dress is so cute. I personally think I one one too many white dresses. I don't know but I find them cuter than the classic LBD.
