Pearly Whites

It's days like these when I wished I had a better camera. Don't get me wrong, mine is slightly better than  a simple point and shoot, but it's still nowhere near the quality I'd like of a DSLR. Part of the reason I'm  on a shopping ban is so I can save up for one, but that will probably take a little bit of time. The reason why a better camera would come in handy for today's post is because mine does not do this dress justice.

This is my last piece from August Wrinkle and it's a beauty. Pearl Peter Pan collar? Check. Tiny subtle pleats on the chest? Check. Gorgeous navy hue? Check, check, and check. I had originally planned on dressing this up more, but when I slipped it on before a day of thrifting last week, I knew I couldn't take it off. For the day's events, a comfy sweater, gray tights, and my favorite shoes (which, if you couldn't tell, I can't stop wearing) seemed perfect.

My only complaint with this dress is that, after a while, some of the pearls started to come off. It's all mostly in tact, but I did feel like I had to be extra careful while wearing it. The good thing is, the dress is so pretty that it's worth it.

I hope everyone has enjoyed seeing how I styled my August Wrinkle pieces as much as I did! They were an absolute joy to work with and I'm so happy to have discovered a new shop I love. This, however, does not sound promising for my shopping ban. Oh, well.

Head over to August Wrinkle to see more swoon-worthy items and check out my other two posts here and here!

While I received this dress for free, all opinions stated in this post are entirely my own. I was not asked to write any of the things said here and I am completely honest in everything I write.

  4. Wow this dress may be even prettier than the last one from this shop! I am pretty sure this was on my wish list from August Wrinkle, I am SO happy you introduced me to another online shop to be addicted to (my wallet may hate you though!) I love the color palette here too AND your hair looks fabulous! :)

  10. Super cute outfit! I feel you about the camera. I have a point and shoot too and i feel like it can make a nice outfit feel "less special" than it would if i had a DSLR. :(

  13. Wow, I can see why you love this dress! At first I thought the collar was actually one of those collar necklaces but it's adorable on the dress. (Although I think I would be scared to wash it!) The pearls really stand out against the blue of the striking, they're really striking and do give off such a sweet vibe!
Good luck with your shopping ban. I went on one to save up for my dlsr and I've been so happy that it did. Even though the silly camera still scares me and gets the best of me, it really does make a difference.
