Weekend Florals

Somehow, despite getting over a cold what seems like yesterday, I'm sick again. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to illness; I've been told I get it from my dad. Still, I managed to get myself out of bed yesterday, threw on this comfy white sweater in an attempt to feel better, and spent the afternoon in thrift stores and a coffee shop with my friend, Ginny. Neither of us particularly struck gold anywhere, until we found ourselves in an antique store that neither us had ever been to. I go to school in a small town, so I'm not entirely sure how I had missed this store before, but it was wonderful. It was giant and I walked out with with a pretty ring and clutch by the time we made it through the whole store. Does buying cheap things at an antique store count as breaking my shopping ban? I'm weak, I tell you. Weak.

In more exciting news, my "fave find" was featured on the Modcloth blog. Any reason I can find to link myself to Modcloth is awesome so check it out here.

Also: I completely keep forgetting to mention that eShakti is offering my readers 20% until 03/10! Just use the code ROOM334 on your next purchase!

I can't say that much else is really going on. There are a million things at work that are stressing me out, but I won't bore anyone with that. Fortunately, spring break is just a week away. I'm staying with my brother here in town this time instead of going home, but I'm looking forward to a week of no worries and baking cookies with my nephew.

  2. I loved your Modcloth feature! I get so happy whenever I see a Flock Together girl on their site. Annnnnd I need to start wearing my dresses as skirts. You pull it off so well! I would probably do it wrong though, I can really only transform my dresses into tops.

  7. I'm obsessed with the dress, so cute!! It looks great with the chunky sweater and boots. Oh I hate it when you get sick again right after recovering! That happened to me a couple weeks ago and it definitely wasn't fun being sick for so long!

  8. I love this! That sweater looks like the most comfy thing ever! Also congrats on being featured. One of these days I'll send one in. I'm a huge baby when I'm sick too...I cannot stand not feeling great. But you don't look sick at all, so that's always a bonus.

  11. Yay for spring break! Mine is 4 weeks away and I can't wait! This skirt is gorgeous, I love it! And your necklace is such a fun pop of unexpected color. I really need to find some new thrift/antique shops around here, that would be divine! I hope you're feeling better soon. It seems like everytime I get sick it drags on forever. Congrats on the modcloth feature, that's awesome!!

  13. Oh wow, this outfit! I think this is my very favorite of yours, I love all of the colors! (I think I like gray almost as much as I love olive green, heh.) The colors are so soft and the gray and white really tones the black down and the whole look has a little bit of romance to it. It must be that dress, the pattern is so pretty and whimsical with the little pink flowers, it's just darling. The boots are pretty killer as well, I love the little bit of fringe at the top. (I don't know if it really counts as fringe but my brain's not in at the moment, so fringe it is.)
That just stinks about being sick again, that can get so frustrating to finally get over a cold and then bam, sick again next week. :P I do have to say, you look pretty awesome for being sick, I look horrendous when I'm sick! I hope you feel better so soon and um, you're going to have to post pictures of this pretty vintage ring!
