De-stress

For the first time in months, I finally feel like I can stop stressing out about things. I still have finals next week, but in all honesty, I'm not really that worried about them. My last presentation, last article, last project and last production night at the paper are all finished and I finally just put on pretty clothes and be happy. It was the most perfect spring day when I wore this a few days ago and it almost makes up for the rain we're getting now.

The best part of it feeling like spring was that I finally got the chance to give this eShakti dress the bare legs and warm weather treatment it deserves. My knot in my shirt came undone while I was taking these pictures, but who cares? It's all cheerfulness and joy around these parts right now.

You know what else is something to get happy about? Flock Together is hosting a giveaway for a $75 Modcloth gift card right now! We're all excited to give back a little something for our readers and, as usual, I'm bummed I can't enter myself. I'll win a giveaway one of these days. In the meantime, get yourselves over there and enter.

I've been told by a friend that I need to wear nail polish if I'm going to wear open-toed shoes. Well I have no time to do that and it just got warm, so you can all deal with it.

This post is obnoxiously happy. I promise the next one will be filled with sarcasm and snarky comments, don't you worry.

  3. What a cutie.
Congrats on (almost) finishing the semester! Don't you feel any shame about your toes! I'm missing half a toenail from a little surgery 4 months ago and I've still been wearing sandals. No shame no shame.

  6. A perfect outfit for spring! I have to admit...I'm a little jealous that you are able to go bare-legged and sleeveless! It's still a little chilly here and I'm still wearing tights!

  11. Dude, I've been told that as well, why do we have to wear polish on our toes if we're wearing open toed sandals? I don't really like painting my nails in general and it seems kind of silly to paint your toes just because they're exposed. Poor naked nails. (I really only paint my nails if my daughter gets out the polish and tries to paint them for me, she loves polish and paints her nails every day.)

It's so fun to see this dress again, it really is the perfect summer time dress! It has such a pretty pattern with the golden flower bunches, the gold on the white background is really striking.
